A true test of a delegate’s resourcefulness, creativity, and overall ability to think on the fly, AmeriMUNC XII’s Ad Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General is certainly not for those faint of heart and bereft of experience. Unlike that of other committees, wherein delegates are provided sufficient time and resources to research and brainstorm solutions for several spotlighted challenges, both the topic and structure of the Ad Hoc remain a mystery until the moment that a delegate motions to open the first session of debate. (Think of it as an improv show. But with less jokes. And even more chaos.) Nevertheless, no matter what form this committee takes, the Ad Hoc is guaranteed to be as memorable of a time as it is tall of a challenge, providing delegates the ultimate opportunity to put their ingenuity, negotiation skills, and interpersonal prowess into action.
