THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES
General Assembly | Security in the Americas | Single Delegate
Ever since the days of Simón Bolivar, there have been talks about a transnational union within the Americas; a uniting force that collectively organizes the Continent. In 1948, we saw that vision take shape with the formation of the Organization of American States. Now a collection of 32 nations across North America, South America, and the Caribbean, the OAS has worked to fulfill its original mission of promoting development and security within the Western Hemisphere. In this 2025 meeting of leaders from across its spectrum of membership, the primary focus will be on Security in the Americas. In particular, ensuring that OAS member-States are best equipped to handle national security threats both foreign and domestic. This convention is essential for the furtherance of democratic peace, so come prepared with plenty of unique solutions.
